LMAO! Looks like UG News will let anyone be an editor .....
If you look at it from gym owners, coaches, local promoters, little shops that sell MMA gear, MMA mags etc perspective, TUF is the best thing that has ever happened to MMA.
Hong Kong Phooey -Hardy - TUF has sucked since Season four.
Hardy had it right in his original post. Season six is when TUF got terrible.
Season five was one of the best seasons ever. You had great fighters (Lauzon, Gamburyan, Diaz, Maynard, Wiman, Miller), compelling coaches (Jens & BJ), some great drama outside the cage (Godzilla's death scene, Karo's "do you know who I am?" rant, the house fight, Andy 'the warrior' Wang), and a bunch of really good fights.
If you missed season five, you missed what was arguably the best season of the show (though season one was also pretty good).
This has been a great season. I am not sure why you guys don't like watching free fights. I know I do.
Season 5 is still the best! It was also the last season I watched with great interest.
after tuf 5 i didnt bother to watch a full series, i switched off the tuf with junie browning, it was just plain awful, but started watching every episode again during the us vs uk show...
i hate characters like junie and bruce leeroy and have little interest watching them... i really enjoyed the comeback series and wouldnt mind seeing one like that again
This season is good. Anybody not watching is missing out!
The only difference I see with TUF and " Jersey Shore" , is that they show a cage for 5 minutes of the show, and Dana White for 3 minutes, thats it.

wasn't there something about a horse too? Either way, I agree with you.
pretty good season so far
For those that are not watching because the show is horrible, drama filled, etc, you are missing out on catching some wisdom from John Danaher......I just put up with the stupidity and pull the gems from the show: fighting, training, and commentary from interesting/talented people.

not even sure why they bother with "tryouts". I was at the "tryout" last Thursday with some friends and was absolutely amazed at what I saw. Its not like I was ignorant to what goes on, but I guess I assumed that truly talented fighters could still get a fair opportunity. All I saw happen over and over again, was former cast members, current fighters and popular local gym trainers, bring in their guys and immedietly take them up to the Spike execs and say "here's my guy I was telling you about". Then once in the room to grapple, some either told "you dont have to grapple" or some (Danny Davis from las Vegas) totally slutted and embarrassed by his grappling opponent, then told "go ahead and wrap up, youre going thru." All the while, a very quiet competitor in his group taps out his opponent twice in the same time frame and told, "thanks for trying out but youre not moving on."
It was a joke! Happened all day long. Im not saying the guy in the group that tapped his opponent out twice should be on the show, but its a great representation of how much of a try out or competition its NOT.
If you u are a talented, hungry fighter who thinks he can go to a TUF audition and earn his way onto the show...dont bother going.
Its been shit since 4.
My mistake, 5 was solid also.
"Put me back, B!" B........."
There was A LOT more talent at the TUF 13 tryouts than there was for 12.
I'll have a video interview with Bryan Diamond (VP and Exec-Producer) up soon.
