Spinning Escape From Back Control

It’s always safer to escape from the Back if you go to the UNDERHOOK side of the Seatbelt Grip, provided you have good head positioning.

But sometimes, you won’t be able to do that because your opponent’s Back control is too tight, so you gotta have some options from the OVERHOOK side.

The Overhook Passive Escape is the perfect choice for this situation, especially if you are not in a hurry, for instance, if you are up on points in a tournament, or if you are just rolling for fun at your school.

Watch the video above and make sure to pay close attention to the important detail on WHY this escape can only be executed when you are on the OVERHOOK side of the Seatbelt.
