Martinez is SO easy to hit. If Harris had a litle more power it could have been a different fight. Martinez does go hard to the body, he is most definitely focused on breaking opponents down. Harris showed a lot of heart (Martinez did too). I think he'll get another shot at some point. He did nothing but earn respect lastnight.

Wow, he is going to be a problem. I question if he can he take a shot, and can he keep up that pace for 12 rounds? I think he almost switches up too much and might be vulnerable to be caught while switching stances. I'd like to see him when he gets inside, stay there and let his hands go a bit more. It would reduce the chances of him getting caught while coming in. Just somethings I noticed and wondered. He is something different that the guys at 154lbs haven't seen anyone much like him. I really want to see more of him. Charlo needs opponents, I'd love to see it. I think he could pull off the upset, his activity will be trouble for Charlo.

The DAZN crew kept talking about how "special" Martinez is. I see an extremely talented guy, who's getting away with some bad habits so far. He's eventually going to run into someone who will the Barrera to his Hamed if he doesn't tighten up fundamentally.

with Mikey Garcia fighting at 147, i wonder how much of that has do with his success in the gym. I recall he was sparring partner for Maidana in the camps for Maidana Floyd. Maidana gave Floyd problems in the 1st fight and Im wondering if Mikey felt like he can compete at 147 based on his sparring with Maidana. Josesito Lopez is also trained by Robert Garcia, he gave Thurman problems (tho Thurman was coming off long layoff). I imagine Mikey has success with Josesito also in sparring.

I would like to see him at 140 again.

I share the same questions. I try to avoid jumping the gun on these prospects before they’re tested vs some legit competition but I really just think this guy is going to be the man at 154. Charlo would be his most difficult fight.

His countryman Murodjon Akhmadaliev is a motherfucker too. Just beat Danny Roman in his 8th fight.

Multiple sources have advised BoxingScene.com that former unified light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (34-4-1) will return to the ring on April 25th against long time contender Sullivan Barrera (22-3).

The fight will headline a Golden Boy Promotions fight card at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California and will be streamed live on DAZN. The fight was first reported by The Athletic's Mike Coppinger.

According to our sources the fight will be contested at a catchweight of 180 pounds in a bout scheduled for 12 rounds.

Trained in the same Gym as Jay briefly when he was young. He'd left by the time I went back but, you could see he was good. Another youngster there was Tom Jones who went further than jay as an amateur, won his first two pro fights and wrapped it in.

It's a shame cause he had such a good pro Thing with wales(especially swansea) it's a graveyard of could have been. Not enough opportunity for young sports persons.

Jay had a lucky break and we're all bouncing hes pushing on.

I think Billy Joe will make him look bad.

We shall see Dory

Big heavies tonight, that's always fun

That looked like a local tpughman fight with oversized gloves.   Damn they showed his hot wife and it all went downhill for him from there.

Huge gap from that level and the top tier heavyweights

God damn Kownacki I was pulling for you

I’m not impressed with that Ajagba

Yea, he looks very mechanical with average power. Though he is young enough to add a lot of skill.

I think he has decent pop but yeah I do agree he is rather stiff

Damn left just before the Ajagba KO and missed the main fight smh

Boxing Wiz I know you’re in the LA scene, this kid Brandun Lee headlines show box this Friday heard of him?
