Oh wow! I wasn't aware of that story, or I had heard it way back in the day and forgot. Crazy........the dumb fucker screwed up an entire tour with that tackle, AND ruined his own life. He's got a funny drinking story, but as soon as he tells it people be like 'okay, staying away from this guy the rest of the night. He's a fucked up drunk!'

I still remember that video of The Rolling Stones visiting a Chicago bar to see Muddy Waters play in 1981.
You can see Keith Richards at a table trying to open a bottle of booze, he takes out a big folding knife to cut off the wrapping.

Had it happen to me playing a huge street festival summer of 2000. I play a multi-keyboard rig and someone sneaked on stage and was playing the back two keyboards and I didn't notice at first. Guy was hammered but my Judo instinct clicked in and I threw him down the side stairs. I felt a little bad afterwards as I saw he had a cut head and the cops had come to the side of the stage. Guys were at the show said it was so funny and happened so fast that I never missed a beat but the situation pissed me off. When you are in that zone you don't always notice everything going on near the stage when there is thousands of people. If someone decides to rush and you aren't paying attention stuff in the video's above can happen.

Singer killed himself with a stage dive gone wrong, happened in 2010.
"Charles Haddon, lead singer of British band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, jumped off a satellite mast after a performance at the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium on Friday.

Yeah, I appreciate that. But we've also all seen those times where the guy is flying off the stage and then the crowd splits. Brings new meaning to that bodies hit the floor song.
I’ve posted a few times on here that back in 90’s I was a backline guy for several touring bands. For about a year or so, I toured with Danzig. The head of security in those days was Jesse James (build motorcycles on tv, dated sandy bullock), and this kickboxer guy named Dennis. I saw Jessie and Dennis (and sometimes even Glen) absolutely flatten kids that would jump onstage. It was kind of scary at times. These were big strong guys that could serious damage.
