What do you got going on here?
Are you making a CNC mill or router?
The automation specialist sitting next to me the gave me a quick lesson of servos and steppers.

Good luck Bro!

Just got a flashback of this 30 year old russian guy in my neighborhood that would do meth and build weird shit. He taught me how to make garage door bomb trigger mechanism with steel wool when I was a kid. He made a flame thrower and was trying to get someone to steal a lifepack from a hospital so he could make a super hero suit with electrical pulse hands.

I'm saving up for a similar one, but I think I would go with the larger G0705.

I'm always checking the classifieds for an older bridgeport or similar but nothing ever seems to come up.

where do you live? Where I am old well priced American Machinery is in abundance North NJ. The only reason I still don't have one is size weight factor. I could put a machine or two in my garage just need to get rid of some stuff maybe get pick up truck. You don't fear the round column? I do like that machine

SK, Canada. Right now I just have the generic mini mill. Its ok, but having used the larger knee mills at work I get really impatient with making tiny passes now.

I also have the problem of space, money, and no 220V in my garage. I get the drawback of the round column but I think I could live with it, I just use it for hobby projects mostly.
