Massive respect for the bloke, staying at his boyhood team his whole career, captaining them to a champions league final is every football fans dream as a kid. Shame he missed out on the league last year to complete an amazing career.
His legs have gone though now and he can't keep up as shown today.

Good player but not legendary. Wouldn't get in am all time premiership best eleven, wouldn't get on the bench even. People seem to forget about him trying to force a move to Chelsea. Still sad to see him go mind, hes one of the last of the generation of players I watched as a kid growing up.

Every team would love to have a guy like Steven onboard.
I'm an Arsenal fan but Steven Gerrard is an absolute legend. He could play just about any position on the pitch, in fact he did play the majority of them in that champions league final.
