This is a huge step up in comp for Stipe.
JDS has taken a beating in his fights with cain, I seriously doubt his confidence is back or his chin will be the same.
Junior has been off for over a year and who knows the lasting effects he has from the beatings from Cain.
It pains me to say because im a big JDS fan, but i think Stipe has a chance to do it.

Yeah, I have a feeling JDS is going to win this quite easily. Everyone has this idea that now after his wars with Cain that "he'll never be the same fighter" without any actual evidence since he hasn't fought since.
Miocic has good boxing but he doesn't have near the same kind of power that JDS has. And I think JDS's boxing is better also. It's HW so of course any random punch can finish a fight, but I just don't see it happening.
I've been saying for a long time that Stipe is the dark horse of the HW division. His loss was against Struve where he had copped an eye poke and was clearly having trouble with it.
He has the wrestling creds and boxing to give lots of guys trouble in the cage IMO
Yes,he took two prolonged beatings from cain, but he took a year off. He bosy should have recover by now. Its not like he took the beatings back to back, within 3 or 4 months of each other, he gave himself time to recover unlike a lot of fighter. Thats also means upgrades in his skills, maybe offensive wrestling, especially since hea just been training and hasnt had to cut weight any.
