I don't agree with him a lot of the time, but Dana White is right about one thing - Fedor's career is the most mismanaged career in fight history.

Fedor chose M1 to represent him. Stop blaming M1. Do you blame a piranha when it bites your finger off after you've stuck your hand in a lake? No. You blame yourself for being so fucking stupid by putting your hand in the lake in the first place.
The last five years of Fedor's career and the detrimental effect it has on his legacy (and make no mistake, whether the nuthuggers like it or not the last five years HAS had a negative impact on his legacy) has been solely down to Fedor and some horrible business decisions he has made.
Why was he ever fighting overblown middleweights like Lindland and freak-show opponents like Hong Man Choi? That is NOT what the supposed best fighter in the world should be doing. THAT is when Fedor should have told Vadim to keep his 20% and GTFO. That is when, stnill at the top of his game, or close to it, he should have left no questions and given all MMA fans what we wanted and signed for the UFC. But he didn't. His reputation would have taken a lot less hammering had he beaten Randy Couture instead of Brett Rogers, and he would be afforded even more respect had he lost to Cain Velasquez instead of a borderline top 10 fighter like Antonio Silva.
PS: Im fully aware Fedor couldn't give a flying fuck about his legacy, but his fans and MMA fans in general do.

He fought Hong-Man Choi in Yarennoka (end of year 2007). At end of year 2007, Randy was the champ, having beaten Tim Sylvia earlier that year.
Fedor DID fight Tim Sylvia, and destroyed him.

Nonsense. When Randy dropped out of the UFC due to contract issues, he made many promotional appearances with Fedor and didn't deny rumors that he wanted to fight Fedor. It's the fight that Affliction and M-1 were very willing to try to promote. Then Fedor destroyed Tim Sylvia, and now suddenly Randy is all in love with Dana White all over again. Randy ducked Fedor.

Randy has never ducked anyone.Randy was begging to fight Fedor when he left the UFC.
M-1 was terrible. They coul dhave had Fedor busy fighting and buildin gup to a big payday rather than no fights for a big payday with dangerous consequences.
