Soul Gravy -Don't bother answering my other post. Clearly, you never took a shot to the body. Have a friend hit you to the body a bunch of times. Now, imagine your friend were a trained fighter. Yeah, you'd start dropping your hands too.PunchesandKicks - The two strikes to the body set up the knockout. If you rewatch it you'll see mendes can't catch his breath and doesn't put his hands back up. You sir, are a dumb person
What I saw was Mendes put his hands down and stick his chin out. The reason why...I think we all know.
Soul Gravy -In this fight yes.ThinkMMA - It is pretty obvious. Connor picked him apart on the feet when he could and capitalized on it.
Does picking someone apart on the feet include spending the majority of the fight on your back eating elbows?
Didn't think so.
I like how people are using this as some sort of knock on Connor.
He survived underneath the best wrestler in the division, fought through mount, crucifix, multiple guillotines and chad's overhand right.
If anything we should be praising that, because every single other fighter that has stepped in front of mendes, excluding also of course, didn't survive that.
Connor did what he said he was going to do.
He dealt with the wrestling, got back to his feet and delivered a tko.
Very impressive.
Another join date myth dispelled
marth -I think he's just weak minded, a sore loser who was only able to imagine one outcome and when the result went the other way his ego is conditioned to just throw up a defense mechanism out of desperation. Probably immediately walked out of the room or bar right when it happened.Soul Gravy - They had fuck all to do with Mendes giving the fight to Conor. You're insinuating the fight was fixed? Lol
If they had been doing that much damage, Mendes never would have been able to ragdoll Conor on the ground the way he did.
It's pretty obvious what happened. What's sad is that few will admit it. It's the pink elephant in the room nobody wants to talk about.
I bet $100 on Chad and don't act that way. Being able to accept losses is a sign of character.
OP needs to look at the stool footage. Conor was fine, Chad was panting and in a world of pain.
I think its funny that people look at how Conor was destroying Mendes for the first half of the round literally down to the 2:50 minute mark but because after the fact Chad managed to take him down, its assumed Chad wasn't really hurt too bad, so Chad 'clearly won the round.'
Then the second round Chad takes Conor to the mat for about 4 minutes and then when Conor gets up and looks literally unphased after escaping that sub, he just picks Mendes apart as if he was never in any trouble at all.
SMH@ mma fans being ready to assume success in lay and pray is more valuable than successful standup/striking exchanges. Might be cliche at this point but faggots who believe shit like that are the ones who ruin the sport.
Soul Gravy -guncoi977 - It is why he gassed so fast....period. chad has the cardio, he knows it was the body shots
He has cardio...exactly.
You said it, friend.
Chad doesn't just gas.
Hmmmm....
So let me get this straight you don't believe accurate powerful body shots can cause someone to gas even if they are in shape?
And to think anything was fishy about the ending just shows how unintelligent people can be.
Gasping for air huh?

I'm just pointing out what no one wants to admit.
Chad has good cardio.
Chad takes Conor down at will.
Ragdolls Conor on the ground.
Conor gets cut. There might be danger of the fighting being stopped.
So he lets Conor get up.
And stands with his hands down and chin out and waits to be hit.
No. That's not suspicious at all.
Soul Gravy -SurgicalGloves - So you think those shots Chad hit Conor had no KO intentions behind them?
You are merely another mourning fan boy falling back on "it was fixed!!" as a coping mechanism.
Put on your big boy pants and deal with the world. Everyone's fighter loses at some point.
I'm think elbows on the ground are some of the safest "real" strikes that can be thrown without a huge fear of accidentally ending the fight before the appropriate time.
Yes.
You are right OP.
It was that Chad didn't have the cardio to go one full round - even though he trains year round.
The body shots were irrelevant. Oh wait!
fightcity -In the first minute of the fight Connor asked Mendes, "are you tired already?" Go for it. Watch it.Soul Gravy -guncoi977 - It is why he gassed so fast....period. chad has the cardio, he knows it was the body shots

Watch it again. Connor knew where to hurt him and punished him for showing a crack in his game.
Conor's legit.

Chad doesn't just gas.
Hmmmm....
Apparently lucrative.
OPs tears taste delicious. I wish I cud enjoy them with every meal.
iamrodhull -Soul Gravy -I'm not sure but I think the bit where he said picking him apart on the feet when he could means just when they were on their feet, so in answer to your question, it's probably a no.ThinkMMA - It is pretty obvious. Connor picked him apart on the feet when he could and capitalized on it.

Except they weren't on their feet all that much....

It's quite pathetic.
OP is sore loser
