Strange Things in San Diego

Yesterday I saw a guy in the park dressed in full silk Tai Chi uniform doing forms.  About 30 feet away was a homeless guy sitting on a bench watching.  The homeless guy then jumps up and does a jump kick punch combo with kia.  It was fantastic.

Later, as I'm walking around I see this lady hauling down a street on an electric wheelchair.  The great thing was that she had a big ass car horn hooked up to her wheelchair and was honking at people.

That's California. Fruits and nuts.

Ahhhhh...Sounds like Balboa Park. I seen that Kung Fu guy there a bunch of times. Somtimes he trains with a sword.

We have a guy in town who hangs out on the town green all day whne it is warm, playing different sporting events, by himself, pantomiming the entire thing. He throws long, runs (sort of a loping flop actually), catches it, and does the end zone dance. Other times he is Rocky, and really has the arms raised victory gig down pat, for an old chunky guy with mental health issues anyway :-)

Stick around Hodney you ain't seen nothing yet.. take a ride on the trolley

I just saw an Asian guy wearing a thong at our pool.  I'm talking banana hammock.  I was not prepared for that @ 8:00 in the morning.

You will weirder shit in either Olympia, WA or Spokane, WA.

I've seen more EMT's surrounding more convulsing homeless people in both places...my god. It's like a sport there or something.

haha you must live in north paerk or dowbtown area...

Yeah he is downtown.. downtown has a huge homless problem. North park is even better for entertainment

No end of free entertainment in SD. sniffle

And you guys think California is wierd...

HAHAHAH!

I'm @ the Manchester Grand Hyatt.  This is one of the nicer hotels I have stayed at.  The weather was fantastic yesterday.  I may sneak out a little early from my conference and try to hit Balboa Park.  Then tonight furacao has invited me to train @ Rodrigo's place.  I drove by last night just so I could figure out where it was.  Should be a good time.

Can anyone recommend a good Sushi Place?

For good sushi, try Yakatorie II on Sports Arena boulevard. (don't think the spelling is correct)

You guys have a Yakatory II there..? Me too and it fucking KICKS ASS!!!

The new guys moved in though, Yakabob's.... watch out.

The one thing I didn't find in SD is good sushi.

I am not big on sushi.. unless it's a cali, fried tempura, or spicy crab roll. Yakitori 2 is great although last week when I visited they changed the menu a bit. There are several sushi places close to Rodrigo's.. tell Chris (furacao's) to take you out.. his treat.

Downtown has tons of weirdos...

zawi

youll be at rodrigos. there are a ton of good sushi places there in PB. stay there after you train, may hook up with one of the gazillions of hotties around there too.
