On several levels they have a far superior product for entertainment value then the UFC. So the dont have the #1 guy fighting the same guy 4 times strait. What they have always had(minus Shields and Mo)is a solid group of fighters who were not afraid to take risks to put on a show and not just go out for the sole purpose of the W. Honestly tell me how many boring SF fights you have seen? Now list the full cards of UFC you damned near demanded your money back for the ppv. I like the UFC I have watched all of them and they are more of a business hands down, they do not give you the entertainment value SF has. SF also was a great supporter of WMMA and I personally like watching the Ladies mix it up. If the UFC used their selling power packed in the SF product it would be far superior. So do you think when they dismantle it they will keep anything of the model??? Or do you foresee them signing 8 fighters cutting the rest and have Tito rematch Shammy again?
They didnt sign many wrestlers that's what they did.
The UFC is filled with wrestlers that's why it may seem less exciting to you.
Look how far their "better product" has taken them
than
No just no.....
you suck
Are there still Strikeforce vs UFC threads?
It depends on what you find entertaining. They put on a lot more mismatches than the UFC does, which leads to exciting finishes...but that only really gets me so far. I like to see high level competitive matches as well, even if they don't turn into tooth and nail brawls.
Fights like Smith/Daley end dramatically and are fun to watch.
Fights like Fitch/Penn may not end dramatically or have you on your toes, but they are entertaining to me as well simply because the guys involved are so talented and technical.
Ummm... Strikeforce is good, don't get me wrong.. They have some outstanding fighters but there's no way strikeforce has the better product.
I am not trying to compare UFC fighters to Stikeforce fighters thats just silly. And I love to see 2 really well matched up technical fighters try to apply their game. Thats not what I am saying. I am talking about a mainstream product. When I have people over my house for fight night parties I can say that the Strikeforce fights have gone over way better then the UFC cards. SF has the ability to truly capture a new audiences attention. SF has a product that is set up to be a mainstream MMA product. But all this comparision crap I am reading isnt what I am talking about I am talking about the presentation of the model product.
Aleck911 - Look how far their "better product" has taken them
it took them to a point UFC couldn't obtain and thats what lead to the Zuffa buy out and now the dismantling. If something is Mainstream then it should be free. Bellator has some nice qualities and hopefully the seeds they are planting start to blossom well
better than? equal IMO. i just love watching MMA. the ufc has more top fighters, ill give em that. both are great products. just my .02
I understand the pressure to keep a job. but you are confusing athletes who will give anything for the W. And fighters putting on a show. GSP is a very high paid athlete who doesnt take risks for the W. BJ Penn is a very high paid fighter who risks everything to put on a show
Large Fun Bags - Daley vs woodley? Kennedy vs lawler? Two "boring" fights put on my sf on the main card of their last event. Troll
you are missing the point I was trying to make. But I enjoyed the Kennedy fight and anytime Daily loses is good especially when it drops his stock
