Strikeforce-- strip Overeem already......

OctopusFighter - The Strikeforce welterweight title still doesn't exist.

Nick Diaz is the Strikeforce welterweight champion. Not sure if you're saying there is a difference between a title and a champion or something?

I believe that post was made before the Diaz-Zaromskis fight.

OctopusFighter - The strikeforce lightheavyweight title got initially won by Southworth, who then didn't defend it for two years before losing it to Babalu, who then took another year to defend it before losing to Mousasi, who promptly fought his next match as a non-title match and still hasn't defended it.

The strikeforce middleweight title got initally won by Frank Shamrock, who then took almost a year before losing it to Cung Le, who then took over a year before vacating it, and then it got won by Jake Shields.

The Strikeforce welterweight title still doesn't exist.

The Strikeforce lightweight title was initially won by Guida, who almost immediately lost it to Melendez. Melendez then took a year before losing it to Thompson, after which we got his leg injury and the interim situation.

So really, let's stop pretending that Strikeforce titles mean anything at all.

oh no he didn't!

Yea, it's a sad state of affairs but the WAMMA titles are actually kind of more valuable than the Strikeforce titles.

Tell you what, we won't have to wait long for Diaz to defend... dude loves to fight.

 I agree

Dude also loves to bounce around and fight at catch weights.

Don't be surprised if Strikeforce decides to put him in another high profile catchweight bout rather than having him defend his title.  Or if they do the same thing they did with Mousasi-Soko and let him fight a guy like Mach in a non-title bout.
