Super Fight Between Morales and Santos 3/29 XFCi3

Alfredo “Tsunami” Morales (15-4-1) takes on the daunting task of facing a red-hot Luis Santos at XFCi 3. While many Welterweights have steered clear of Santos, Morales welcomes the opportunity to stop, who many consider, the unstoppable. The “Tsunami” has made a career out of putting people to sleep with his fists. Since his debut in 2007, Morales has knocked out his opponents in 10 of his 15 wins. His finish rate sits at an impressive 94% when you add-on his 4 submission wins. Aside from his ability to end a fight with one punch, Alfredo’s greatest asset in his bout with Santos may be his chin. In 20 professional bouts, the Tsunami has only been knocked out once.

What can be said about Luis “Sapo” Santos (59-9-1) that hasn’t already been said? At 34 years young, the Brazilian has been on a complete tear for over a year. He has unquestionably found his groove since suffering back to back losses during 2012; which was only the second time in a 69 fight pro career that he has ever lost two consecutive fights. With mind-boggling numbers in his last five fights, Sapo looks to extend not only his win streak, but also his streak of 1st round finishes. The Buzzsaw Santos has just barely spent a full round of action, inside the cage, since April of last year. Santos brings it every time he enters the cage, but his Rede TV debut may bring out a Sapo Santos that Alfredo Morales wishes had stayed on the North American side of the XFC.
