SuperBrawl vs KOTC which did you prefer?

I am biased and I like SuperBrawl better because it was in Hawaii with local fighters. SuperBrawl had some legit fights with many future MMA stars. They really promoted fights and had some great rivalries. Mayhem was a star and I loved seeing him fight but he tormented Hawaiians in the ring and on the mic.

Tim Sylvia, josh Barnett, Rico I think, Cabbage and John Marsh off the top of my head.

I bought the KOTC box set dvd and enjoyed those fights too. There were many great fighters but the fight promotion was as exciting as SuperBrawl, like the production was a step behind.

It is sad that SuperBrawl went away. I wish you could watch the old fights. Is it on fight pass? I wish they did away with that and put KOTC and SuperBrawl on espn+. They got a billion dollar contract for fucks sake

I also liked seeing Japanese fighters comepete. I remember Suda flattening Egan and Niko Superman KOing him later.

He called himself the most notorious haole in Hawaii since captain cook! Guy was such a character. He was one of the original star of MMA who was a good fighter, had an exciting style, and had great mic skills that could work a crowd. If you liked him or hated him you had to watch. I wanted some Hawaiian to beat him but he kept putting them down

He was entertaining for sure. I am really sad at the way things have turned out for him. I hope he gets his shit together.

KOTC because it was a few hours away. The heavyweight tourney, Wet n Wild, the 130pounder vs the 400pounder.

Forgot about SuperBrawl.

Ended up ordering a DVD and being too lazy to cancel.

Had about 10 of them eventually.
