I'm looking for supplements that will help give me more energy and also help burn fat or speed up metabolism if possible.
Any advice would be awesome.
And yes I know it mostly comes down to eating better and working out more. I just have no energy at all these days.
Was going to use muscle pharm assault. My buddy has a friend who is a personal trainer who swears by it.
ECA or just EC stack if your in decent shape. I heard some people had heart attacks from taking too much so do your research on how to use it properly first.

I'm in pretty bad shape right now so this might not be the best option. I'll keep it in mind though for when I get to that point.
Voted. Up

If you are in bad shape right now, don't waste your money on this shit expecting miracles. Most of the supplements in the metabolism/fat loss realm simply don't work, or if they do work, the effect is miniscule. You'd see exponentially greater results from simply getting into better shape.
If you need energy, use caffeine to get your ass in gear for workouts and then eat a better diet, sleep more, and drink more water.

My diet is pretty decent and I do drink at of water. I just never have any energy. Not looking for a miracle pill or anything. Just something to get me going.

Caffeine is pretty well proven and safe(when dosed properly)...it should be all you need to get yourself going for a workout.
More sleep alone can = lot's of improvements.
TAKU
get some optimum nutrition amino energy, its 20 bux and tastes great. its nothing but amino acids and a little caffeine. drink it half hour before excersise a few times a week. like Chimp said as well, throw in 25 mgs of ephedrine for extra fat burning down the line (i get a product called primatine at cvs).. id stay away from all other supps and preworkouts, they have a lot of other junk and stims n them. keep it simple which is why i love amino energy.
Leigh - Get more sleep? I have had low energy a lot. I make sure I rest lots. 1 deload week a month, at least 1 rest day between training days. This has definitely been an issue. I have a newborn child. And before that I was so stressed about it I couldn't sleep.

Good call.

Eating at a caloric deficit will make you lose fat
Don't waste your money IMO, if anything save money by eating less!
Boring yes but true
Don't fall for the supplement industry's bullshat
I'm sure my opinion will get shot down as it doesn't seem to follow the general consensus on the thread but I've had decent results from supplement use in the manner that you're talking about.
Fat Burner/Metabolism Boosters:
Most are a junk. Complete wastes of money. But I have had a couple that have given me decent results. Most of what they can offer can be made up with the use of caffiene because that's their biggest magical ingredient for burn/boost. But the most recent one I used that worked decent for me gave me that little extra energy but most of all, helped surpress my appetite. That was huge for me as I'm a habitual snacker.
Pre-Workouts:
Depends on what you get and what you want out of it. Not all pre-workouts are the same. The more common type you see is some kind of NO booster. These ramp you up and should be taken with caution. Some, like the ASSAULT you mentioned, are a little tamer as they're main focus is not NO. For me, ASSAULT offerend for endurance for the workout/training session rather than an initial burst of energy to get me going.
Regardles of you what you try for either the burners/booste or pre-workouts, use caution. Follow directions when it comes to assessing your tolerance. And most of all, don't be surprised if you try something that doesn't work. Like I said, most don't, but there are a couple that I personally had some luck with.

What was the fact burner you used that worked for you?

ShredMatrix by MusclePharm. Nice caffiene boost and great appetite supressor. But follow the directions and assess your tolerance before you take a full dose/serving. I was an idiot and went full the first time and it was terrible. Super wired and my stomach was inside out.
I'm not promising this will work for you. Everybody responds differently to these types of supplements. All I can say is it helped me.

Took the assault before my workout tonight and It definitely helped with the cardio. Pushed me to go an extra 15 minutes at least (for me That's a lot).
Weights were pretty rough but I think I did okay for my first time back in a while.
Just trying to figure out the right workout routine for me.
I use the C4 preworkout mix and it gives me a huge boost in energy. I also use a thermogenic called hydroxystim that always made me super hyped up. Beyond that healthy food and sleep when you need it.
