Yeah I had no idea what they were going to do to me when I went into surgery.I guess i missed a few things because of my hearing.
Basically I had a false aneurism(sp)in my artery that runs from my heart tthrough my right shoulder and down my right arm. This means that the inside of my artery was damaged and was spitting out blood clots. When they did the test I had about 28 clots in my right arm.
It took awhile to diaganois and during this time everytime a blood clot when down my arm my arm would lose circulation and start to turn purple. Also when the clot went down to my wrist right before the hand it would get stuck and it felt like someone had hit me with hammer.Hurt like hell.
So for the surgery they cut out 2 inch's of my artery and replaced it with a vien(sp)in my leg. Then they cut into my bicep on the inside and cleared out the clots.I was lucky that the clots were running out to the end of my hand and not getting back to my heart or lungs.Funny thing if you looked at my hand the finger tips were dieing. My nails stopped growing.
My dr was a heart surgeon and I owe my life to Dr. Forbes.
They gave me injectable morphine after and then 1 week.Man that stuff was good.
