Fuck you assholes! I have trained with Tim, fought in the same shows with Tim, and gone out with him! He is an awesome guy! I will admit that he can rub you the wrong way if you don't know him but he is just very stand offish like that, if he doesn't know you. Unless you have a vag! Then he is frendly as hell!!! I admit to not being a huge fan of Sylvia's style and I am sure he's rubbed people the wrong way but...
The one time i've met him he was a hell of a nice guy. I was cornering Johnathan Ivey when he fought Ricco Rodriguez about a week after Tim fought Fedor and he was very personable. I was moving to Iowa for school the next month and spoke with him a bit about the the Cedar Rapids area and what-not.
He even went up to Ivey after he fought Ricco and gave him some pointers. Maybe he was so nice to us because he hates Ricco but I was pleasantly surprised given all the stuff said about him being a prick in real life on the UG.
Maybe my situation was different than most people's but Big Tim is alright in my book!!!

man... i know some of it is camera angle, but Pudz is thick. there is another thread with a pic of Tim and Brock, and Tim looked pretty big (again, camera angle...).
That said, Timmy is too seasoned for Pudz.

fyi voorhees I was very fortunate to be a guest for the evening of the man who wrote his checks, we were in line behind Tim with the majority owner of Affliction and you got this guy trying to check security, when the fucking owner is waiting too. I mean cmon bro.
I think his name is "BIG" Tim Sylvia for more reasons than his size.
I know Big Tim gets harassed by fans when he is out and about wanting autographs etc, sometimes at the end of a hard day of training all he wants is a quiet drink with his friends to talk and not have guys constantly asking for him to hold up his fist next to theirs for photos. Clubs should know how to treat celebrities properly (the owner of a company is not a celebrity despite him paying Big Tim some sponsorship money, that does not make him a celebrity) The club will generally let the celeb in early, not make them wait, treat them right, give them free drinks.
The club in the situation you outline obviously did not do this, so its them you should be coming down on, not Big Tim who was merely asking for the respect for which is due.
This is LA homeboy, I was sitting next to Gza and the drummer for system of a down, Tim Sylvia doesn't register on the celebrity scale out here.
I have no idea who gza or the drummer of system of a down is, I expect the club didnt either, but they should have known who Big Tim is, a error on the part of who they hired as security ..the secruity should know these things, its their job.
