as much as i'd like to see randy hand sylvia his ass, is anyone scared about the possibility of randy fighting Cro Cop?
It was hard enough watching Hughes vs Royce, Saku vs Silva, etc.
although randy has a better shot than either of those guys, i don't think he's gonna be able to stick it out for four more fights.
You know, there is a stong possibility that Randy could beat Crocop, Mirko's takedown defence isn't THAT good.
Ask Coleman if Cro-Cops take down defence is THAT good. Ask Kevin Randleman, Even ask Fedor, or Ron Waterman, Or Josh Barnett....
Plus, Cro Cop is the only person that has been on the bottom of Fedor's assault that has LOOKED like has been there. He fared VERY WELL on the bottom of the HUMAN WRECKING machine Fedor.
Cro-Cop has trained himself into a VERY VERY well rounded fighter

He is simply the best HW at avoiding both the double/single leg takedowns AND avoiding the clinch! Except when pushed into the corner of the ring, he amazed me at how good he was at keeping opponents away and out of the clinch.
And now that CroCop has a groung game, I cant see Randy G'n'P him or submitting him. He may get some takedowns but he'll eventually be KOed on the feet.
knockdowns? give me a break, Randy is a legend and derserves all the respect in the world but lets be serious. Cro cops takedown defense is second to none. As much as he kicks and he rarely gets taken down. his takedown defense is nothing short of awesome. and his defensive gaurd is great as well.

Umm i gotta disagree, not with Randy being destroyed, but that fight being inevitable. I personally don't think Randy will be able to do anything vs Sylvia, and Cro Cop will be quickly pushed into title contention. I really don't think Randy will be able to do anything in the HW division that would be able to make him a contender if Cro Cop should win the title.
Randy got destroyed twice by Chuck, and as great a fighter as Chuck is, Cro Cop is much better and bigger. How can this not be a blowout?
I really don't want to see Randy get kicked in the skull by Crocop. I think it would make me feel bad.
Does this mean we now also miss out on the chance to see Tim Sylvia get the shit (literally) kicked out of him by CroCop? I was so looking forward to that, and seeing it happen to Randy won't be fun:(
Randy coming back makes no sense. Nothing good can come from it. And i don't think we have to worry about Randy fighting Mirko. cause Randy is fighting Tim (which he will lose) and Mirko is fighting whoever (he will win) and then Mirko will fight Tim.

Randleman couldn't take him down, Coleman couldn't take him down, Aleksander couldn't take him down, Barnett couldn't take him down, and it took Fedor almost ten minutes before getting a takedown.
And if Fedor couldn't do anything with him on the ground -- GnP or subs -- what would Randy do?
