It's the most relevant fight to make for both of them if that were to happen. Any worthy challenges for TJ are hurt and FW is cleaned out if Conor doesn't make it to Jose. But the UFC will find a way to squander this opportunity to make a super fight again.

MMAtador - Did TJ clean out the division allready?I will throw it out there, that Dodson fight was stopped a little early. I don't think Dillashaw would of won anyways at that stage in his career but still. Stopped early imo.
Also didn't he lose to Dodson on TUF? Has Dodson ever mentioned moving up or is he just to small?
Also, Dodson belongs at 125 and is also basically the next title contender once he comes back from his injury at 125, so no reason to move up. Gives up size and possibly strength. Don't see it happening.

It is a strange sequence of injuries which could possibly make this fight viable and it is a testament to TJ's fighting spirit that he would be willing to step up. However, I'd like to see him win a few more at bantamweight before moving up.

The former "#1 P4P best" Barao. I know it's a rematch, and I believe Faber and Assuncao are ahead of him, but with them being injured, it makes sense. Barao deserves a rematch as much as anyone considering how good he looked for so long.
But I get what you're saying, and it does make sense (Barao fight aside) for TJ to throw a challenge for Aldo out there. It also makes him look great if McGregor wins, since he just has to challenge and not actually fight.
I mean Faber isn't injured, but is possibly not going to fight his teammate. My bad.

How about if Conor loses, the title shot goes to Frankie Edgar.... The, if not NUmber #1 ranked contender, the real number one contender.
Like really....I Love watching TJ fight, but i think he is a awhile away from a "superfight."
Wrong direction for Aldo.... He should be going to lightweight.
Aldo is my fav fighter right now but stylistically i think both Connor and TJ are good fights for Aldo.
I do agree it may be too soon for TJ to move up for super fighter or whatever but with Cruz out and Barao not looking so great...i guess there is still Assuncao but i thought we needed stars and big fights?
