Are double and single leg takedowns allowed in Judo tourneys?

a leg takedown ? i've never seen that in modern judo.

You can't hang onto the leg for more than 3-5 seconds without attacking.

Just get the leg then throw right away.

thank you.

legal, yes.

something you will be able to do against somebody who isnt a complete
tool, no.

leg locks are not allowed, correct?

The only joint allowed to be bent or hyperextended is the elbow.

So no leg locks.

thank you.

Rali, check out www.judoinfo.com and the articles and clips there. This will answer your questions on the rules and what is allowed and what is not.
