Tales From The Crypt. Awesome show!!!!!

So many great episodes.

I remember two off the top of my head.

One this dude was obsessing over his hot neighbor. He gets his wish granted where she will love him unconditionally and all she wants to do is fuck him and be with him. He commits suicide and she follows him into the afterlife but she's all fucked up from her suicide.

Another, this homeless dude is granted nine lives by a mad scientist and he goes on to become a famous magician doing death defying stunts. Whole episode is him telling his story as he's doing his last trick which is being buried alive.

I always viewed it as a darker Twilight Zone as there was always that "Fuck you" filled twist in the last minute of the episode.

Anyone else a fan of this show? Might have to download the seasons and see if they hold up. Phone Post 3.0

They hold up, I went on a binge a few months ago. Love that sheeeeit Phone Post 3.0

I'm pretty sure dude from Weekend at Bernie's was the guy in the first one you described, because I always think of that episode when thinking of this show and one with Danny Devito I think? Dating two twins or something, gets cut in half. Love Tales From The Crypt! Phone Post 3.0

Loved all of em Phone Post 3.0

Tales from the Darkside was scary too, especially that opening.

If I may contribute to the thread.... I moved out on my own at 17 with a couple buddies before graduating from highschool. We didn't have cable, so one of us bought a bunch of DVDs we would watch repeatedly. Among them, Tales from the Crypt... Most notably though, was The Outer Limits (90's not 60's). We watched the first season, and were hooked. Picked up all 10 seasons after binge watching the first.

Those days really sparked my interest in horror anthologies.

A couple I'd recommend you all check out :

-The Outer Limits
-Masters of Horror *
-Night Visions

Used to love staying up late and watching these back in my teen years. Haven't seen them since then but would love to re watch them. Phone Post 3.0

I have all the seasons on dvd. Love it.

Used to love those shows as a kid, they were mostly pretty old by the time I saw them but they were still great.

There was this one called "Monsters" which was pretty much the same format but the intro was a monster family having dinner, kinda like the intro to "Dinosaurs" Phone Post 3.0

Love the Outer Limits so much. Masters of Horror is great too. At least some of them.

Need to get up on some Night Vision. Phone Post 3.0

Wish I had a VU for you too sir....

Check out the episode "Dead Air" of Night Visions. The show is my least favourite of the 3, but it's worth a watch.

All I know is bordello of blood was my porn as a kid Phone Post 3.0

Masters of Horror - Family
Tales from the Crypt- Television Terror
Masters of Horror- Cigarette Burns
Tales from the Crypt- Dig that cat...He's real Gone

Any Outer Limits episode...

I'm convinced horror works best in short story formats like this. A couple I remember;

A shady attorney is pulled over from breaking petty traffic laws in a town that starts to seem a lot like Hell and has to defend herself in court

Younger guy kills his father to inherit land that houses a burned down farm. He shows up to find the barn is no longer burned down and a party is going on. Phone Post 3.0

I watched the first few seasons tripping this time last year and loved it. Favorite episode is where Joe Pesci plays the two twins. The one where the psychiatrist tries and disciplines that zombie girl in the house with the film crew might be the scariest one Ive seen. The one with Gregg Allman and Sam Kinison is great too. I remember one where a traveling salesman gets kidnapped by a farmer and forced to live in the basement chained up until he fucks the 400lb disgusting fat farm daughter. He has hella trouble trying to get it up and they threaten the fuck out of him lol. I watched that on HBO when I was like 9. Phone Post 3.0

Classic! Every episode is on youtube. You're welcome. Phone Post 3.0

I remember sometime last year there was a thread on this.

Television Terror with Morton Downey was my favorite
