2017 Certified pre owned, 4,300 miles, decent MPG, not a lot of silly options we don't want or need. We get the balance of the factory warranty, 32k plus tax, title and license. Very clean, no pits, scratches marks or dings. 0% financing for up to 72 mos.
Other option is a 2017 Lexus ISt for 35k (+ttl) with 7k miles. A few more options, but higher APR. Smoother ride, a lot more plastic parts on the body, lower MPG as well. But better warranty and 4 regularly scheduled services for free.
Give me pros and cons, or personal experiences. Grassy-ass.
How long do you think you will own the car? the 0% is nice, but if you keep the car long term, you might wish for the better warranty. Also, an entry level BMW probably won't hold its value very long, hence the reason why you are seeing used ones available after just 4k miles. If you don't plan on ever trading it in, and really enjoy the car, then go for it.
Personally for 32-35K you can get a really nice car that is a year or so old. I would rather have better model BMW or Lexus, that is a year or so old, with very low miles, rather than an entry level one that won't hold its value.
The BMW is small. Too much money for that small of a car. Lexus better long term play for reliability. If you are leaning BMW look for the 428 grande Coupe.
I've had two 500 series. One was new. Both were great looking cars and fun to drive. Both had lots of mechanical problems, and one had electrical problems so bad they it couldn't be fixed.

Probably 10 years plus, resale is not really a concern. But we might drop a few bucks for extended warranty on either.
My previous experience with BMW was my wife's 3 series from the 90's. It ran beautifully until someone dicked around with the electrical, then it was problem after problem.
Nothing drives better than german luxury cars. Nothing. Ive been north of 150 in both BMWs and MBs. Like youre gilding on a pillow of air.
Nothing depreciates like one either. I test drove a 2 year old MB S class a few years back. Decent milage, clean title. Sticker new was 120k. 2 yrs old was 47k.
buy one a year or two old. You'll need the extra money for maintenance costs. Theyre steep.

Now, is this regularly sceduled maintenance? Because I skipped almost all of it on my 4Runner and it never gave me issues. I know a kraut car will be more finicky.
The ride was indeed much better than the Lexus, rode on rails. Suspension was pretty smooth, Lexus was a bit smoother, even if not as quick or snappy.
ShanTheMan - How can you fit all your tools in a little bmw?
Wait, are you a chick?
That's what the truck is for, mang. Besides, it's mostly for the wife and her commute. You can have my truck when you pry it out of my cold, dead hands.
