Tank gets another W

Gervonta Davis got the W today in an exciting fight against Barrios up 2 weight classes.

Anyone else watch? The UG mostly seems to shit on tank for his various misdemeanors outside the ring but I’m a fan

Good fighter shit person

Do you know him

Not personally but I am friends with some dudes that train at Mayweathers and they say he is nice enough but ratchet.

Makes sense

Can you imagine paying the type of money to sit ringside and have that annoying loudmouth mayweather next to you?

Tank is being overly protected.

That’s boxing

Not necessarily. Just certain guys.

There are other lightweights he should have fought but ultimately it is boxing. Protect the undefeated record, maximize earnings. I hate it but at the same time prize fighting is ruthless and I can’t blame them for getting what they can out of it

What is going on in this thread, is this still an MMA forum where the word Tank means something?

It has never been written that there can only be one tank.

Again not all fighters have gone that route. When you say it’s just boxing. That’s implying everyone in the sport have or are protecting their 0. Floyd fought for a world championship at 21. Loma fought Salido after his first pro bout… I can go on and on.

Floyd is ultimately protecting Tank because he really knows deep down inside he’s another Broner in the making. I get Zab Judah vibes from him. Great talent but will end being a wasted talent because of his outside the ring issues.

About the undefeated record thing, it only actually means something if once you get to the top, you fight the best opponents. No point in saying I’m undefeated of you won’t fight anyone good. If you do that, the guy you sucked beat you without even having to fight you. When you are 8-0, 10-0, sure, but once you are 15-0 you have to start fighting top guys or the zero means nothing.

Yeah I’m not a fan of him as a person but as a boxer it’s hard to deny the guy has improved leaps and bounds. He didn’t just throw power shots until one landed clean, he was setting up his attacks. Barrios had never been knocked down before last night.
