I don’t know man…Tank lost a hard fought decision, but still went the distance with The Great Scott Ferozzo.
Based on that performance, Tank could hang with anyone.

Cabbage, Duarte and Varlens are Tank’s best wins. Sure he was a character and dangerous but Hunt is another class of fighter. TKOed Lewis even though he was already 42 and had been fighting for two decades. Hunt beat Wanderlei in his first year in MMA and beat Crocop and TK in his 2nd year.
Tank would not go a round with Hunt on their best day.

@therocksays early 2000s mark that had his hands down against Ray Sefo, his chin was superior.
Melvin is one of my favourites and has insane power regardless of weight, a precise killer.
(Also Japan fixed fights etc soooooo)
Prime Tank that beat Hugo Duarte and old school UFC rules, Tank wins easily.
Tank beats Hunt on the street as well.
People forget that Tank could wrestle and the UFC had to change rules because of Tank.
Hunt could point fight his way to a win in modern UFC but he might still get knocked out. Tank destroys him in a street fight and old school UFC rules.
Overall, Tank is the better fighter

Throwing people over the cage wall was banned because of Tank

They also raised the height of the cage.
Tank could win an MMA fight if:
a) He fought back in his prime
b) Hunt came in green without ANY MMA training
c) Tank was in shape
d) Tank took the fight to the ground and it was a UFC where the refs weren’t instructed to stand them up.
Don’t forget, this is a big IF.
As far as MMA past, say UFC 33, Hunt would have enough time to train and beat Tank. As far as after Hunt learns enough to beat Vanderlei, then no, that version of Tank wouldn’t stand any kind of chance…

Hunt adapted to the ground pretty good when he started MMA.
