When I was 19, I got this on my right shin. Not the actual picture, but a painting of it. I'd found it in a skate magazine as an ad for spitfire wheels. At the time, I was skating all day every day, still thinking I might actually get somewhere with it, at least some free product. I'd also had my gf at the time draw up the kanji for my moms family name and added it on the side, since none of us grandkids carry the name anymore as we're all teh dreaded HAPA.

I didn't know it was a fairly popular image that had been used many times.
At the age of 24. I got a job as a social worker for the mentally ill. One day, one of my schizophrenic clients saw it, got all excited and told me it was her album cover. I thought she was full of shit. Next appointment, she brought in an autographed LP with the exact pic as the album artwork. Turns out she had actually been in a punk band in the 70's/80's. The music sucked, but it was pretty cool to have.
Nice!
The Mentally ill fear Hapas.
Fact.
