In one of our states in Australia, Victoria. Ev cars have to submit a yearly statement /pic of distance travelled. It will also be in effect in other states in subsequent years.

I knew about the lost gasoline tax but as I understand it the yearly registration for electric cars is higher to compensate for lost taxes of gasoline not used.
If I believe one of the posts it says that the senate would also have to approve it so both left and right agree with this.
