Tell me about Tour de France

People watch this? Why is it taking up an entire sports channel?

It's just a bunch of guys riding bikes. Phone Post 3.0

Most of it takes part in France and it involves push bikes Phone Post 3.0

It's the superbowl of the sport of cycling

2.277 miles in 23 days

9 flat stages
5 hill stages
6 mountain stages with 5 altitude finishes
1 individual time-trial stage
2 rest days

Also, the sport doesn't believe in drug testing unless an American is winning. Phone Post 3.0

Yes, it's probably the greatest test of endurance in sport.

And all nationalities have been busted for drug use, the American's got away with it for longer though.

So I guess you are one of the 2 people watching? Phone Post 3.0

Hardest competition going, IMO.

Cyclists are VERY tough athletes. Possibly the fittest athletes in the world.

FWIW, Nibali's got this thing wrapped up, but i'm hoping for a podium finish for TVG

fags on bikes.

I guess you are one of the 2 people not watching, the other one doesn't whine quite so much.

Super skinny super athletes alledgedly super jacked on super juice Phone Post 3.0

You can say the same thing about any sport.

I'm not a huge fan of it but I can relate to the sheer effort and endurance of it.

As a pharmacy student and a follower of the anti doping movement within sports I also find it interesting to read some of the stories that go with it. I've spent far more time reading about it than I have watching it which might seem backwards to some people.
