Curcumin is the active ingredient that is sought out after for its benefits. Curcumin is fat soluble so whether you do raw, non standardized turmeric or a capsule, take it with fat. Its also been shown to increase absorption when taken with bioperine, which is just a black pepper extract.

I take a product that has about 200mg of curcuminoids a day and I really believe it helps my shoulder pain. The trick is absorption. Phone Post

Flavor wise, it's easily covered by other, stronger spices- cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, garlic, pepper, etc.

I mix tumeric with plain yogurt and celery salt with honey. Oatmeal too.... Phone Post 3.0
