Thales Leites throws

What was that sweet throw that he used twice...I want to say harai goshi, but after consulting the judo videos, it looked a little different. It was either a different throw or just came out different than "text book".

PS - glad to hear Bruce Buffer call the submission by it's correct name, "kata gatame". :)

Names, shnames, son. And it was close enough to be a harai so dont worryboutit...

Yeah boy, the BJJ'ers have really refined judo's throws. rolls eyes

"Speak fucking English."

You just said "judo."

Oh yes, the "bjj" fighter that used (and in his own words) kata gatami to end the fight.

A good win for Judo, imo.

so, when you go to japan during the summer to do judo and they take their gi's off then they aren't doing judo anymore? even at isao okano's university they will take off the gi every once in awhile-- and Okano is pretty much the worldwide god of judo.

okay, closer to home, when you go to a place like SJSU to train judo with them and they take off their gi's they arent doing judo either? or when you come to my club on a hot-ass summer day and we don't use gi tops..?

odd. i never knew.
