The only way Henry can get a proper wank is standing on a stool so he can see himself in the mirror.

Cejudo walking a fine line between becoming a having a sticht, and becoming a complete joke, ala Chael Sonnen. Fortunately his fighting skills save him from the Sonnen outcome, but he's setting himself up as one of the few champions who will be heavily booed anytime his face comes up on the screen at a card. You can only deliberately aggravate people enough times before the REALLY turn against you.

You talk as if Chael isn't a success story about promoting yourself in a polarizing way. He went from the prelims to the main event mostly because of his antics, and now he's retired with a successful career outside of the cage, broadcasting. You also assume Chael or Cejudo give a care about getting booed.

From Tito Ortiz to Ronda Rousey to Colby Colvington to Chael Sonnen, no fighter WANTS to get booed. Do they want the recognition? Absolutely. But no fighter trains all their life, makes massive sacrifice and puts everything on the line each fight, because they like getting booed.

They care.

Not everyone thirsts for the acceptance of the masses.

You can say whatever you want to about Chael Sonnen, he is laughing all the way to the bank and couldn't care less what you think about him.

You could not be more wrong. Reaction makes money. Getting the boos as heavily as someone gets the cheers can indeed result in tremendous money and/or success. There will always be people who take this route - some on purpose, some not on purpose.

People want to pay money to see their favorite fighter win. Some people also pay money to see their most hated fighter lose.

Have you ever heard of Floyd Mayweather???

Such an odd little fella. He favours someone like Peter Dinklage. His head his way to big for his body.

I'm not so sure - being the heel has some serious sex appeal, especially to the wallet.  When everyone was simultaneously chanting "You suck" to Covington's Kurt Angle song, it was a very powerful moment.  I think it is kind of affectionate in a way, like how the band Primus used to flip the finger to it's fans and vice versa.   You are right tho that almost all kids envision being Rocky than Drago, but with guys like Floyd and Tyson, the role of heel is becoming more dynamic, financially viable and really sought after for those that can handle the heat it brings.

Goat killer cause you lay and prayed Mighty Mouse after getting your ass beat by him previously?

Mm nah

Or maybe what they care about is the money and setting their family up for the future and they know that booing fans are still fans with a vested interest and they like that because that means more money.
