What an epic battle of in fight mental games. Diaz going over the top to insult silva and silva keeping his cool and taunting diaz with sheer technique. Both guys stuck to there guns and refused the others game.
At some points i felt like i was watching and old school kung fu fight. Both guys landing and throwing random martial arts moves from different disciplines. At times diaz would throw something and anderson would then throw a similar move but with perfect technique almost as to show diaz how to do it properly. The feints were a thing of beauty as well. So much going on in terms of spacing and movement.
Sucks for the crowd, they dont see all the intricacies going on. That fight in a ring would b the only improvement possible
Most fights in a ring would be better, the lack of corners and the size of the octagon generally leads to a lot less action
No one liked the fight?
I'd give it a solid 5.5/10.
Thought Diaz was robbed as well.
I really enjoyed it.
made a 6 minute highlight of the fight
just cut out the antics and periods of no action
it falls into the average range of action for a fight, 1 minute of action per round
this fight made a pretty good hl
I did not see it 50-45 for silva. I had it 49-46 or 48-47. I was impressed with Diaz and Silva. But I feel like Silva will get dominated AGAIN if he fights Weidman again.
