A bit unfair to Pettis? He went on a hell of a run there for a while, won the title and defended it.
He won it in 2013 and then defended it against Giblert. He lost 3 in a row after that and has not won more than 1 in a row since then. He's clearly a very skilled fighter, but I don't think saying he is inconsistent is unfair at all.
