That's a big reason imo. PPV buys are in the tank, at least when their year end card doesn't surpass 600k buys, they have an excuse. If ppv sales were steady this wouldn't have happened
How does it mask buys? Maybe I'm a bit dumb but wouldn't a buy = a buy at any price? Or are you saying they are doing it so they can have a built in excuse for failure?
Either way, no. Call me old fashioned but I think they probably want to make more money.
