I used to be a Huge stern fan in the 90s and early 2000s. His interviews used to be second to none. I don't listen to Stern anymore he's not the same guy he used to be. I feel like Joe has really come into his own now as an interviewer. I see big things happening for Rogan in the near future
Stern and it isn't even close... Rogan talks too much about how fascinating and crazy every little thing is.
Agree- Stern is the best.
You can't really compare the 2
They're not in the same business or the same platform. Rogan's podcasts are generally more intimate.
Stern by miles. His show is gone shit, but his interviews are still great. Rogan has way too much ego in his interviews and often tries to overpower his guests.
Stern back in the day was EPIC.
Interviews never went for more than 30 minutes, he would kind of humiliate people, especially "stars" and almost no question was off limits.
These days, Stern sucks massive cock.
Boring as fuck, hour long ass kissing and psychotherapy sessions.
Different types of interviews.
Stern is better at celebrity interviews sure, but his range of topics isn't very broad, so his range of guests is very limited.
Rogan has a wide array of interests and topics he can talk about, and his guests reflect that.
It's not a comparison. Rogans show is great to see what someone is actually like in casual conversation but generally I prefer just listening to him shoot the shit with his friends rather than an interview with a big name celebrity or anything like that. Stern asks the questions you actually want to know and gets people to talk about shit you'd never think you'd hear them say.
Rogan tends to bring on guests and then talk to them about the same bullshit "Here's Rogan giving his opinion on hunting to the guy from Metallica". Awesome. Both shows are great though
Jason Ellis is better than Stern these days
Whambo - Different types of interviews. Are you being sarcastic regarding Rogan?

I like the guy, but, "wide array of interests"?
Thanks for the kind words guys
Howard Stern obviously in my opinion.

Um yes, Stern pretty much has actors, comics and musicians exclusively.
I'm listening to the James Hetfield interview for instance.
If it was Stern he'd be asking a bit about his childhood, banging groupies, conflicts with the band etc. Stuff you'd ask any member of a band. Rogans interview so far they spent a lot of time on hunting, bee's, difference between the Bay Area and Colorado, an in depth discussion on the music business etc.
Rogan has those actors, comics and musicians, but he'll go into topics you'd never hear on Stern. He also has on producers, cooks, athletes, outdoorsmen, psychologists, authors, journalists, paleontologists, poker players, power lifters, photographers, adventurers, scientists, skeptics, health detectives, entrepreneurs, religious scholars... the list goes on.
I'm not sure why I'm having to explain this to you... so are you trolling is the real question?
I'm a HUGE Stern Show fan, but Howard's so overrated as an interviewer. He over talks all of his guests, and has the same lineup of questions. Still a decent interviewer, but he's not as good as most people think.
Joe's good.... if you really like him. But he's not a good interviewer in reality. he's much more interested in throwing his own comments and opinions in than getting the information from the person he's interviewing. he talks way too much and if you don't like him, it's very hard to get past it
I don't like stern at all, but he's very VERY good at interviews. it's not even a comparison.
I like Rogan, but his show is more about conversation than it is about interviews
Whambo -Rogan always brings up the same topics. Lol yeah no shit he talked to James Hetfield about hunting, he talks to everyone single guest about hunting and explains how delicious Elk meat is.pidgey -Whambo - Different types of interviews. Are you being sarcastic regarding Rogan?

That's what this guy is referring too, yeah he doesn't just talk about the guests interests and topic related to them like Howard Stern but he insists on educating every single guest about his interests and going on the exact same rants over and over
explodin -Stern and it isn't even close... Rogan talks too much about how fascinating and crazy every little thing is.
Sterns show has gotten much worse.
Sterns interviews have gotten much better
this is not even a contest.
theyre just different. Joe is good but Stern is different. He really gets people to open up and say things in most instances that they shouldnt
I like stern, easily the best interviewer ever.
the questions he asks and gets them to open up about is much more entertaining. He doesn't ask the same BS questions
Stern used to bring in a lot of sexy women like porn stars and stuff. I'd like to see Joe bring more whores into the studio. Not necessarily to interview but to keep there as eye candy
