Most of the Bisping hate stems directly from the UK troll squad. They do a good job in keeping his name out there, which is their point. But what happens is, a lot of people root against Bisping simply because they want to see the UK trolls blow apart at the seams.

The point we seem to forget that hinges on alot of the love/hate for both men is this. Chael talked a load of shit about taking a fight to Silva, who everyon was fighting like they were afraid of him. He lost, but he did back up his talk and took the fight to him.
Bisping on the other hand, after sleeping through a fight rather than cornering one his guys, talking shit, acting like a child on TV and finally running down one of MMA's hall of famers (Dan Henderson) over and over in prefight interviews, to end it by becoming an all time top 10 highlight for Hendo.
I really think, had that whole TUF/Hederson thing never happened (and to be honest maybe if it would have been some other guy, a loud douche instead of Henderson) Bisping would be a good bit more popular than he is now in the US. That whole Hendo thing, shittalking prefight esp, didnt do him any favors, at all.
