Whoever wins it, once they lose at some point, if they give it to whoever beat them, will set a precedence to give it to the winner of BMF fights. Could be fun. And fun things are cool.

this belt is as good looking or ugly as any other belt. it's a gimmick. like all belts. i don't think these things are supposed to be stylish. it's just fun. it's kind of cringey at the same time. but whole sport kind of is, in general. but it's just supposed to be fun.

We've gone from Nate being a 'non-draw' to a 50k belt being created based on his post-fight jibber-jabber.
I don't want to be the sad-sack in the room, but this sport has gone to shit. The Nate/Masvidal fight stands as a great event without needing all this cheesy WWE bullshit.
Ironically, one of the UFC's biggest problems is their over-reliance on interim belts and boring title fights. Back in the day, they could easily headline a PPV without the need for a belt.
So here comes the Nate/Masvidal fight: a rare, much-needed opportunity to present a PPV based on pure talent - and what do these clowns do? Invent some meaningless belt and use it to take the focus off the fighters themselves.
This was a chance to push the reset button on the PPV format, and draw people to a main event based on talent alone. Instead we have press conferences and 'reveal videos' of a shitty, meaningless belt.
