Is Rorion still disliked by many in the family? He is a called a D Bag and nobody really speaks highly of him in this film. I don't know too much about the family history of the Gracie's but this was all kind of shocking to me the first time I saw this film since I watch a lot of the Gracie breakdowns with his sons. I wouldn't go as far as "disliked," but there are those who resent the fact that he sued family members over use of the name "Gracie Jiu Jitsu" and feel as though he's a big factor in Carlos Gracie, Sr. not getting enough credit with developing the art.

Kinda paints a different picture of Rorion with the law suit and tie contract he made Rickson sign when he came to America. Although they weren't included in this film so we may still only be getting one side of a story. Phone Post
