UFC 148 being held in Las Vegas was not because of a UN convention conflict. The UFC's last event was in Brazil. I understand that it was a TUF themed event, but if Dana truly wanted to have made the fight happen in Brazil, he could have lightly tugged a few strings. None of us would have complained. The fact of the matter is, Chael would have been assassinated in Brazil, and we all know this. The only person who is under any sort of illusion as to why the event is not happening in Brazil, is Anderson Silva. Let's not discount Dana's ability to be persuasive.
