Cale Yarbrough and Jerrid Burke both won their fights last night at the Cowboys show in Kenessaw. Cale took the fight on short notice against a much more experienced Kevin Brooks. Cale won by ref stoppage due to cut in the first. Jerrid pulled off a beautiful armbar in the second after dominating most of the first round.
We had the pleasure of cornering Billy Stamp from Bloomington, Ill. in the main event. Billy is managed by Mammoth Sports and Entertainment (my company). His opponent was disqualified in the first round by what I will simply describe as an MMA temper tantrum.
After going 1-1 two weeks ago that brings us to 4-1. Two more amateurs and a pro fighting at Wild Bill's on the 30th. Looking to hopefully close out the month 7-1. Kick ass :).
In addition, our good friends at Contemporary Martial Arts had an equally successful evening. They had two fighters win in Gainesville and captured two titles: Carolina Cawthon is now the XFN Southeastern US Welterweight Women's Champ(4-0) and Andrew Ballenger is the new XFN US Lightweight Men's Champ(5-0).
