The Island of Dr. Moreau

Had this gem on my DVR for a few weeks. Working from home today so I will watch this and the new Tarzan movie.

I watched Dr Moreau a hundred times in the 90s and loved it.

A lot of it were issues with Marlon Brando's behavior wasn't it?

I'll have to watch that, I think it's on netflix

ok this movie was a pile of shit

Luncha Libre -

ok this movie was a pile of shit

lol!

Just got done watching it, huh?

How does a legendary actor, in terms of not only name but talent, like Brando become so bizarre? Wasn't he big into whoopi cushions and scat jokes?

Yes, that movie is still awesome.

The Devil has come to Tsavo!

I so want to go to the Field History Museum in Chicago to see the real Ghost and the Darkness.

As mentioned, the doc, "Lost Soul", is fascinating.

Goes deep into what a mess filming was.

Kilmer wasn't cool to work with. Also Brando's daughter died while he was on set so 6 weeks went and became six months.  Bruce Willis was supposed to be in the movie early on.

Andre and Rafi from The League have a podcast where they talk about a shitty movie each time, they have one on this movie, it's funny as hell. Podcast is called "how did this get made"

Yeah, we've covered some of the episodes from that before.

I like the one about In the Name of the King

lol

The only movie that I think would be cool if they did a remake. A decent movie with a ton of potential to be awesome if done right.

The Brando version was complete dogshit.  There's a cool documentary about how it turned out that way.

The 70's version with Michael York is overflowing with awesome.   Seriously, that version is one of my favorite movies of all time.

i liked the movie til it was just a bunch of monsters running around

In the documentary when Fairuza Balk is talking about Marlon Brando telling her during shooting how terrible the movie is and to not take any of it seriously is very funny.
