I feel that Severn may be taking anything he can get before his legs totally give way on him, and that perhaps the XFC is praying on his past and not his present state.
I agree that Savern is old and is way past his prime, but the guy has guts and is ready to give it a go even though he'll loose, but how many people his age do you see getting in there in any sport against someone better and younger then them??
Lots... If your talking any sport go look at Mundines opponents and in general they had there last fight agaisnt him before retiring or they made come backs like Ellis for one more pay day.
I know in boxing there are heaps of older guys fighting younger guys just for one more pay day, its very common. They proberaly why boxing has a boxing commision to tell most of the fighters when they have to retire.

9 opponents have never faught again after fighting Mundine
5 opponents fought only one more time after fighting Mundine.
Since Mundine has had 21 fights this means 2/3rds of his opponents have either never faught again or had only 1 more fight.
I was just trying to point out that old fighters or sportsman arent that uncommon and tried to use someone most people know in Mundine.
Look at Heavyweight boxing and see how many fighter have been around or older than Severn. Lots. Either they miss the fame when they stop or they miss the big paydays so they hang around alot longer than some should.

Of course, I'm not suggesting for a second that any of these guys were quality opponents.
As a rule, I refuse to watch Mundine's fights because I don't like him (and I get PPV for free)

Sorry for getting a word wrong. I should have said 33% of boxers had their last fight against Mundine another 33% had only one fight after fighting Mundine and 33% fought more than once more after fighting Mundine.
