The only people that are going to be excited about the upcoming Cormier vs Rumble are the people that wanted desperately for Jones to lose and after he went and beat everyone in the division people were desperate for anyone to beat him, it was comical their last hope hung on Rumble and let's be honest Jones was going to beat Rumble anyway.

Sorry bro, this goes beyond the UFC. A Fox Sports attorney already stated theres a big chance Jones serves up to 3 years in jail for this (aka like 90 days to 6 months for celebs).
The UFC had to do this or they would be in some hot water if he went to jail and they had done nothing on their end to help Jon. This isnt to PUNISH him. He is going very rapidly down a bad path. I would know, my uncle died in tijuana from a heroin overdose and my Dad drank himself to death basically. My aunts a coke head and lost her kids and it ruined her life too. My other uncle is hooked on methadone in Utah. So basically all my dads siblings are drug addicts. Its no joke man. Its more important than a job.
I understand how very serious Jones situation is. I really do wish the best for Jones I would hope he is taking it serious and pulls his head in before too much damage is done in his personal life.
I'll still be here ready to cheer for bones even if it is 3 years, And even if he doesn't return if that's what it takes for Jon to clean up and living a fulfilling life with his family then that would be a price worth paying, I would be sad as a fan but hey he has already given us years and some very entertaining years at that.

I don't agree with the LHW division losing legitimacy, Jones will be back eventually and things will go on as normal. What would make the division and entire sport lose legitimacy is if the status quo inside the UFC didn't change. But it has, major sporting leagues wouldn't accept this and if the UFC wants to be looked at as a legitimate sports league then they shouldn't either.
I do feel sorry for Jones, but not for what has happened as a result. I feel sorry that an adult the same age as me still has so much to learn about how to be an adult.
