The Problem With UFC From A Casual Fan Perspective

Too many weight classes, too many fighters to keep up with.

The fights last night weren't that bad, but most of the guys were unknown. I don't mind seeing fights like that if I knew who to root for.

Note to Dana White - the sport will not sell itself. Start selling me who the fighters are. Lidell, Brock, Diaz, etc.

Oh, and stop creating weight classes just so every main event is a title fight. I can't name 10 fighters under 155 pounds. Every main event should be a title fight (Franklin vs Wand) but stop creating weight classes just to have title fights every 2 weeks.

You can get to know fighters better now more than ever with twitter and other social media outlets... Phone Post

So we should dilute the sport by taking away the lower weight classes(where majority of the fights are phenomenal) because casual fans such as yourself refuse to/can't/wont get to know the sport better?

You say stop creating weight classes as an excuse to create title fights and yet you say EVERY main event should be a title fight?

How far is your head up your ass?

The casual fans I know don't care about who the fighters are, just wanna seem some blood and KO's while they eat their wings.

Too many weight classes.

Nothing was like Pride, I even liked the freak show fights they had, was entertaining. Phone Post

1 - Yes. Too much work to keep up on. Like I said, I don't know 10 fighters under 155 pounds.

2 - Use your noggin. This means less PPV cards by volume, and forcing the champs to defend their belt more often. At least I know who they are this way.

Agreed. Far too many. Just a ploy to keep generating PPV's.

Agreed. Rampage made reference to this and wanted to get cut. He was right, imo.

Dont get me wrong. I see your point. There's a whole lot of people to keep up with now a days. Especially with all the young talent coming up.

To save the UFC: Plan only one event in advance and stack it.

Planning 4 or 5 events months in advance is too much time for guys to get injured. The excitement dies down after too long. And after each event, things change so much that the already planned matchups are no longer relevant. Phone Post

I cant watch a fight anymore without thinking Corn Nuts. Goldie has embed that damn snack into my mind. Me and my friends say it every 3 seconds during the fights involuntarily.

Too many rematches between mirrors.

the only answer is more corn snacks. Corn Nuts needs more variety.

Then just don't order those cards? I mean I for one am glad to see the best in the world in all the weight classes including the little guys fighting in the same promotion. Phone Post
