The Spike prelim show

I know there were a load of technical problems early in the show, but I thought it was excellent. Obviously it helps hype the imminent PPV, but it also give new guys and mid-level guys a great opportunity for exposure to a larger audience, and so earn a rake of sponsorship dollars.

I also thought the backstage interviews were a good feature, it's something we haven't seen for years on UFC broadcasts, but it helped build the main event greatly I thought.

Are they going to do this for every event, or was this just because of the Mayweather clash? It's a no-brainer to keep it on IMO, for both parties, Spike probably got way higher ratings for this than whatever else they'd have had on.

i hope the keep doing it.

very nice indeed
