God damn it, can someone tell me the truth about talking suppliments.......up until a few years ago, I used to pop high stength vit C, fish oil, various immune boosters etc etc, prob about 6 - 8 diifferent pills a day to help keep me healthy for training........then I read that half the shit doesn't even get absorbed in your digestive system and its a waste of money.......in the end I decided to try to get all the vits and mins I needed from food and didn't take anything for ages........
......recently I have been experimenting with things like spirulina and supplimenting acai into my diet......and whether it's placebo or fact, I feel I have more energy. So who can tell me what the hell the UFC guys are taking (I am sure you all saw Sherk and his 20 pills a day) and are they a mix of supps to help with both pre and post workouts? Suppliments can be expensive, I wanna know whats worth while and what isn't. So in the humble UG opinion, what has 'worked' for you best for the following 4 categories: -
1) Pre workout for addded energy/intensity
2) Post workout for faster recovery
3) General well being (health joints etc)
4) Natural muscle growth/increased size and strength
I am sure there are some interesting cocktails you guys have come up with.
