I am just reflecting back kn JDS vs Cain 1.
It ended in a KO but Dana wasn't happy.
So what they are after is a 3 - rounder with good exchanges from both sides that ends in a KO or sub.
Is this right?
Ttt
For the most part.
Jds/cain I was a let down because it was the first and only fight on fox. Supposed to be the 2 best heavyweights in the world battling in the octagon for 5 rounds. Instead it didnt last long at all and no real "skills" were presented in the short amount of time they were fighting.
The ufc was supposed to gain a huge fanbase. But instead people who tuned in a little late got a quick replay over and over.
Nothing said was meant to be disrespectful, just my opinion on why it made dana angry.
Personally i thought it was an awesome knockout lol
I think he was more bummed because he originally did not want to put a single fight on Fox. Fox wanted to do it so they did and they put a ton of time and marketing to promote the event.
When the time finally came for the fight it only lasted a couple minutes and then they had to fill the rest of the time slot talking about all the action and match ups we were going to see when the UFC would make their real debut.
Like Dana said it was 30 seconds of fighting and 30 minutes of jibber jabber
Perfect round?
Chuck Vs Rich
Donald Vs Melvin
Fight?
Varner Vs Lauzon
Edgar Vs Gray 3
They were hoping to get a modern version of Forrest vs bonner for fox.
Many thought it would be a war, me included. JDS ruined Danas special night
This seemed like the perfect fight when it happened, pretty much number 1 versus 2. Honestly, there was a lot of pressure surrounding this fight with Fox and what not. I think Junior is a beast but that might have been a tad lucky.
I hope we get two more five round wars out of these guys.
