It going to be completely up to him where he goes in the end but i guarantee the UFC will have the best offer.
I see alot of people talking about ONE FC and Bellator possibly getting him because they have broken the bank in the past for fighters
Its popular belief the UFC doesnt pay anyone anytime, and thats obviously not the case, the UFC is a massive company, just because they dont release the real amount fighters are paid we know that unreleased bonuses are givin out to fighters that generate interest in the card.
But people still make a big deal about what is released from the UFC for fighter pay, even tho we know its not the real number when it comes to bigger fights or fights that are exciting, the UFC pays people tons of money behind doors, they can offer fighters alot more then people like to think.
What im trying to get at is the UFC is going to offer Fedor a fantastic deal, one that will give him the opportunity to make the most money of his career, they also have the ability to go to Russia and put on a massive card, something the other organizations probobly couldnt do.
If Fedor truly wants to fight in the UFC the money he is getting paid will not be an issue.
I really hope im right and this happens. The potential matchups are insane in the UFC at the moment for Fedor
In for positivity
I hope you're right. I really wanna see a fight with Overeem or Werdum
Yeah, didn't Dana say they'd offered Fedor obscene amounts of money in past negotiations? (Which is one reason Dana said Fedor's management were such knuckleheads not to take it).
Fedor may not be as visible as he was then, but there's still plenty of interest and if the UFC wants him, they'll open the purse strings.
He'll sign with the UFC for one reason...

No one can match that. He'll wear the ugly garb and like it. If the guy wins any big fights, he's in for another big [pay day with the next PPV.
JoeMimic - I hope so just so this run is filled with legit competition.
Agreed! Could you imagine Fedor winning a couple of fights and looking good?
I may be the only one but I am not that excited for this comeback. Fedor is maybe the best ever but he is 38 and has not been in the cage in quit some time now. I would rather he never came back then come back and lose 2 fights and retire again or something like that.

I'm gonna assume this is based on money, deep down. There's really no reason at all for him to come back. Even if he had the fire again, the risk of getting real damage done is more likely as we age. There's no reason to risk it... unless financially he needs some more socked away.
Now when I think of it that way, I would rather him come back with a true, 100% attempt than to stay retired and see him broke in 10 years. Two or three successful PPV's and he's set.
It's fucking Fedor. If he really puts all he has into and the UFC is smart they can give him winnable fights, the fans some awesome moments and everyone makes a shitload of money. I don't think Fedor is as marketable as some of the forum members here think he is, but a triumphant return opens eyes in Asia and Euro.
Global expansion, Conner... the return of Fedor... could be a fun couple of years for us!
PittBJJ -I'm with you bro.

Did your bookie tell you?

But are you "HIV" positive? It's the only way to be sure.

He said it was the biggest "at the time." When he said that it was only like a year after it happened, so it would suggest that the deal offered was already surpassed to someone else by then. (My guess would be brock). I'm guessing Conor made significantly more than what Fedor was back then.
I wonder if Coker is going to fall into the Fedor trap again like so many others. Bellator was cutting fighters and events last year, breaking the bank to get Fedor then not getting the return on their investment could lead to yet another MMA organization going under chasing the elusive Fedor. On the positive side for them they're backed by Viacom money so it really comes down to how much they want MMA programming on Spike and not about the financial viability of their whole company.
