In the wake of WEC you should start running a "side show" promotion maybe two or three times a year called the UFE - "Ultimate Fighting Exibition" where you can have fun with all these spectacle fighters like Toney, fringe guys who get cut, freak show types, one dimentional fighters, internet brawlers, physical specimens or whatever.
Just make it 3 rounds for 3 minutes and guys have to hang it all out there.... also put a few journeymen veterans on display to show the skill level in the UFC. Then you can have fun with all these fights without reflecting bad on the league. Maybe give a guy or two a shot to get in the UFC or whatever.
have the UFE in Japan.. and dont test the fighters..
