There are guys better than Carwin, Velasquez, etc.

that have not even broken the top 10 or become a blip on the top 20 yet. There are guys who are fighting in the smaller orgs, some may be known to the hardcores, some not, that will be the next contenders to the big orgs in the next 3 years. In a few years time, guys will rise up to make Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez look like the Tim Sylvias and Andrei Arlovskis of a few years back in comparison.

Thus is the growing pains and excitement that is the future of MMA!

I can't wait til the heavies are all truly well-rounded, well-rounded in the sense that they can all wrestle, and finish both standing and on the ground.

So wait, you're saying that the guys on top of the division now, won't be in 5 Yeats? Get the fuck out of here with that horseshit! Everyone knows that fighters are always great and never get old! That's why KO'ing Big Nog today is so impressive! Phone Post

Imo you are getting better athletes in mma right now. Cain and carwins careers will look better than those mentioned.

one thing i have learned and seen over the years...lightweight guys are always going to be more rounded n skill and do "OHH AHH" performances than hvwt..thats in boxing, wrestling, mma and etc

its just a physiological fact in science .

I'm addressing the average MMA fan here that are semi-perma kinda mind fucked and lost in MMA hype limbo. In a way, you are like a high school calculus teacher busting into kindergarten math class and yelling "No shit 2+2=4!!!!"

Are you talking about Sean McCorkle??

You don't get much better credentials or skill sets, than NCAA All-Americans.

There are no guys out there that even remotely outclass the likes of a Cain Velazquez.

Not that he won't lose a fight. But it will be to a superior striker, or a guy that can hold him down (because he was also an NCAA Champion/All-American).

"In a few years time, guys will rise up to make Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez look like the Tim Sylvias and Andrei Arlovskis of a few years back in comparison"

Its called evolution of the sport. Guys like Cain are setting a new standard right now in the heavyweight division, paving the way for future up and comers to take it even farther. But i think it will be quite some time before we see a heavyweight with a skill set better then Cain.

Saying things like this is kinda silly if you ask me as it happens in every sport and every division. What do you think athletes are supposed to get worse?

Edited: double post
