Thick bar training

Finally bought a thick bar. Been meaning to buy one ever since I read "Dinosaur Training" a few years ago.

Any of you guys use a thick bar? Any suggestions how to fit it into my lifting routine? Obviously I plan on doing some thick bar benching, curls, presses and holds but I am just wondering how often to use it.

Also, has anyone used the long fat bar from power-systems.com? What are your feelings on it?

Thanks

I was actually thinking about getting one from power systems too. Let me know how it works out for you.

My last gym had Apolon's Axel from Ironmind.

I used it for everything from russian twists to curls in the squat rack :)

nativegrappler: It came in the mail today. Looks pretty cool... its very light at 22 pounds, which actually works well for me because I'll be able to bring it to and from the gym easier.

I will use it today or tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

I messed around with the thick bar tonight. Did some benching and overhead pressing.

I really like it a lot.

This particular bar (Power-systems) says not to load more than 400 pounds on it. I doubt I'll ever bench 400+ with a regular bar nevermind a thick bar, so to me that isn't a problem.
